A brief synopsis of a story of a girl who contracted rabies, showed symptoms and survived. What this clip does not mention is that she was bitten by a bat in her church. The church members and her parents prayed diligently for the girl's recovery.

If rabies is suspected in an animal attack, a person is normally given a vaccine immediately, however, once symptoms show, it is basically 100% fatal.

Though the focus in programs that have aired this story is put on the doctor's efforts (inducing a coma in the girl to attempt to stop the virus from attacking the brain), that technique has proved unsuccessful in other patients since this girl.
