Did it actually occur?

"An analysis of some 600 individual flood traditions reveals a widespread concurrence on essential points: the prior corruption of mankind, a flood warning unheeded by the masses, a survival vessel, the preservation of up to eight people with representative animal life, the sending forth of a bird to determine the suitability of reemerging land, significance in the rainbow, descent from a mountain, and the re-population of the whole earth from a single group of survivors."

"Especially remarkable is the persistence of that biblical name Noah.

And this is particularly so when you consider the ultimate language
differences between peoples, and the extreme local distortions which
developed in Flood legends.

Yet the name survived virtually unchanged in such isolated places as
Hawaii (where he was called Nu-u), the Sudan (Nuh), China (Nu-Wah), theAmazon region (Noa), Phrygia (Noe) and among the Hottentots (Noh and
Hiagnoh).

Think about this. Did each of these nations independently concoct the
same name for its flood-surviving ancestor? Or did these widely separated
peoples refer back to the same family of survivors?"

What can we learn from language?

"8:6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:

8:7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

8:8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;

8:9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

8:10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;

8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

8:12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more."

Ancient altar and drogue stones found nearby ark remains?

Why would there be crosses on drogue stones from Noah's Ark? Did Josephus not suggest in the Antiquities of the Jews that the ark had a well known visitable location in the first century? How about go here and look for a 6th section of 3rd chapter for yourself or use CTRL-F to search for ship in Armenia?

If earth was flooded, did water come from above or from below or both or neither?

"7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened."

If water did come from below, where did it come from and what happened to earth and is there any water inside earth now?

"The research team surveyed the volcanically active Yellowstone region, home to 80 percent of the world's geysers and half of its geothermal features."

What led to Snake River Plain? And what led to the Channeled Scablands if they are just beyond it and claimed to have been created by something referred to as the cataclysmic Missoula Floods?

Is sedimentary rock in and of itself not a type of rock that is formed by sedimentation of material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water? And is it not the case that sedimentary rock is always or almost always a thin veneer over a crust consisting mainly of igneous and metamorphic rocks?

What would have caused the flood to start in the first place? Is there not a crater southeast of the Grand Canyon that was caused by something that was composed of shiny metal and had an end with four sides? Are there shiny meteors with four sided ends? What if something hit earth and broke up subterranean fountains of water leading to the flood?

How about we consider Great Salt Lake? Is it not literally a sea next to Yellowstone that's home to seagulls and yet trapped by mountains?

Are Monument Valley and Petrified Forest National Park not located in areas that were once basins of bodies of water and found just east and northeast of the Grand Canyon?

Is Rainbow Bridge not in or just outside Monument Valley?

Is Petrified Forest National Park not next to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley?

How about we consider the Grand Canyon itself?

Is it not true that the Colorado River enters the Grand Canyon at 2,800 feet or so above sea level and yet the Grand Canyon has a highest elevation point of 6,900 or so feet? When does water flow uphill? See a snowline below that helps put things in perspective?

How about we look upstream from the Grand Canyon if we are trying to determine whether or not a river slowly flowed across land for millions of years and was somehow able to manage to form a canyon as wide as the Grand Canyon is as a result. See a main funneled canyon and also a smaller crack in mud looking canyon that the Colorado River sits in below? If so and these four all refer to areas just upstream from the Grand Canyon or an actual starting point of the Grand Canyon or both, then where did Each canyon come from?

If there was not rapidly flowing water on land about 6,654 feet above sea level and yet there's a type of pothole shown that forms when whirling rocks caught in an eddy or vortex of a fast-flowing stream grind down carving a cylindrical depression about that high, then what happened?

Are we sure the Grand Canyon was not actually carved into an already existing Kiabab Uplift as a result of the flood and two natural dams on top of the Colorado Plateau being breached? See a circle around funnel canyon below and also Grand Canyon and Monument Valley and Petrified Forest National Park referenced? Also, notice the Grand Canyon essentially coming to an end at the edge of the Colorado Plateau if a dashed line is marking the edge of it?

Does Grand Canyon not even come to an end and have California's Imperial Sand Dunes south of there? Could it be the the result of beaches washing out down towards the Gulf of California from the Colorado Plateau?

How long does it actually take to make a canyon?

What here required millions of years of time to form?

Is the Morrison Formation not a distinctive sequence of sedimentary rock that numerous fossils have been found in? What happened if creatures were not rapidly buried by sediment?

Was Coelacanth not considered extinct for almost 65 millions years and considered the missing link between fish and tetrapods and then found off the coast of South Africa? What's changed?

Are there any remains of a creature encased in sedimentary rock that are Not the result of a living creature being buried by an onslaught of water and earth?

Is strata evidence for millions of years of dirt piling up on eachother?

Was the Mississippi River Delta not recently estimated to be less than 30,000 years old using size of it and rate of mud being deposited into it? And what would the flood have helped speed up?

Was Niagara Falls not observed to have an erosion rate of 4 to 5 miles per year that indicated an age of less than 10,000 years as of recently
without having to take into account what a global flood could have done to help speed things up?

Is there not evidence that there was freshwater where the Black Sea is? Have there not been fossil remains of marine creatures found on the Sierras and the Swiss Alps and the Himalayas? Was the Sahara Desert not estimated to be growing at 4 to 5 miles per year and was it not recently said to be only 1300 miles north to south?

Where did the water go if earth was completely covered in water? What if mostly into places that would go on to become known as oceans? Is there not enough water on earth to flood earth if land can be smoothed out? And what if earth has actually expanded and there are mountains that are the result of rapidly sliding plates?

Are there not actually stretch marks from ridges in both the Atlantic and the Pacific?

What about Pangaea? Can you find any Pangaea model that shows a pre-Australia alongside a pre-South America?

What if earth expanded rapidly during and immediately after the flood and oceans formed between continents as crustal material was exposed at mid-ocean ridges and sliding plates led to there being mountain ranges?

What can we do to explain these if there were not layers of mud that were compacted together rapidly while in a putty-like state?

And is there not evidence that there were societies built over ones that were more technologically advanced?

Great job putting all this together. It's hard to imagine that there's so many people actually believing that this never happened. I guess that's where listening to everything you're told by an "expert" without figuring it out for yourself leads people.
