Its not often our closest star gives us a show like the one they're saying here. I sometimes wonder if that is Really what is happening. If its not cloudy, I'll be watching for it. Supposed to be a nice show of "Northern Lights"

Solar Tsunami to Strike Earth
Published August 03, 2010

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory snapped this X-ray photo of the Sun early in the morning of Sunday, August 1st. The dark arc near the top right edge of the image is a filament of plasma blasting off the surface -- part of the coronal mass ejection. The bright region is an unassociated solar flare.
Earth is bracing for a cosmic tsunami Tuesday night as tons of plasma from a massive solar flare head directly toward the planet.
The Sun's surface erupted early Sunday morning, shooting a wall of ionized atoms directly at Earth, scientists say. It is expected to create a geomagnetic storm and a spectacular light show -- and it could pose a threat to satellites in orbit, as well.
"This eruption is directed right at us and is expected to get here early in the day on Aug. 4," said Leon Golub of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. "It's the first major Earth-directed eruption in quite some time."
The solar eruption, called a coronal mass ejection, was spotted by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, which captures high-definition views of the sun at a variety of wavelengths. SDO was launched in February and peers deep into the layers of the sun, investigating the mysteries of its inner workings.
"We got a beautiful view of this eruption," Golub said. "And there might be more beautiful views to come if it triggers aurorae."
Views of aurorae are usually associated with Canada and Alaska, but even skywatchers in the northern U.S. mainland are being told they can look toward the north Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for rippling "curtains" of green and red light.
When a coronal mass ejection reaches Earth, solar particles stream down our planet's magnetic field lines toward the poles. In the process, the particles collide with atoms of nitrogen and oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere, which then glow, creating an effect similar to miniature neon signs.
The interaction of the solar particles with our planet's magnetic field has the potential to create geomagnetic storms, or disturbances, in Earth's magnetosphere. And while aurorae are normally visible only at high latitudes, they can light up the sky even at lower latitudes during a geomagnetic storm.
Fortunately for Earth-bound observers, the atmosphere filters out nearly all of the radiation from the solar blast, so the flare shouldn't pose a health hazard, experts say. Pilots and passengers in airplanes may experience increased radiation levels akin to getting an X-ray.
The solar particles also could affect satellites, though scientists think that possibility is remote. Orbital Sciences Corp. believe a similar blast may have knocked its Galaxy 15 satellite permanently out of action this year.
This type of solar event has both government officials and satellite manufacturers worrying.
NASA scientists warned recently that high-energy electric pulses from the sun could cripple our electrical grid for years, causing billions in damages. In fact, the House is so concerned that the Energy and Commerce committee voted unanimously to approve a bill allocating $100 million to protect the energy grid from this rare but potentially devastating occurrence.
The sun's activity usually ebbs and flows on a fairly predictable cycle. Typically, a cycle lasts about 11 years, taking roughly 5.5 years to move from a solar minimum, a period of time when there are few sunspots, to peak at the solar maximum, during which sunspot activity is amplified.
The last solar maximum occurred in 2001. The latest minimum was particularly weak and long- lasting.
The most recent solar eruption is one of the first signs that the sun is waking up -- and heading toward another maximum.

Enormous Ring is Developing on the Sun

What is this strange ring that has been developing on the Sun during 16-Oct?

Sunspot 1112, located in the southeast quadrant, has been the source of a giant filament that is currently stretching 400,000 km across the surface of the Sun.

However, today, there appears to be development of a enormous circular ring which looks to be linking with the huge magnetic filament of sunspot 1112. Most of today's various wavelength images of the Sun all show this feature over at the SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory) - NASA website.

SpaceWeather.com today reports,

A vast filament of magnetism is cutting across the Sun's southern hemisphere today. A bright 'hot spot' just north of the filament's midpoint is UV radiation from sunspot 1112. The proximity is no coincidence; the filament appears to be rooted in the sunspot below. If sunspot flares, it could cause the entire structure to erupt. This active region merits watching...

What concerns me is that if indeed this is a huge magnetic filament nearly encircling the entire Sun, it is now currently directly facing the Earth. If sunspot 1112 does erupt, could the entire filament explode into a massive CME?

This particular phenomenon will be all over in a few days as it rotates around the Sun, but it serves to remind us that there are more and more events happening on the Sun as we transit into the next solar cycle maximum (peaking ~ 2012 into 2013).

------------

CME is short for coronal mass ejection, a plasma made up of mostly electrons and protons. Basically, it is electromagnetic radiation that is ejected from active regions of the sun.

CMEs directed at Earth can interfere with radio communications, harm satellites, and even damage electrical power transmission circuits and infrastructure, potentially causing widespread power grid failure (only an extremely powerful CME could bring down the grid)

Total Lunar Eclipse Monday Night

For a few hours on the night of Dec. 20 to Dec. 21, the attention of tens of millions of people will be drawn skyward, where the mottled, coppery globe of our moon will hang completely immersed in the long, tapering cone of shadow cast out into space by our Earth. If the weather is clear, favorably placed skywatchers will have a view of one of nature's most beautiful spectacles: a total eclipse of the moon.

January 4, 2011 – Partial Solar Eclipse Reminder

The citizens of planet Earth will be treated to not one – but four – partial solar eclipses and the first will begin on January 4. Ready to find out where and when?

Don’t be upset if you don’t catch this eclipse. The next will happen on June 1, 2011 and be for the eastern region of Asia, northern region of North America and some islands of the North Atlantic. Again? How about July 1, 2011 and this time be over the Indian Ocean and the small islands in this ocean. Still not found you? Then how about November 25, 2011 and southern regions of Africa and Australia and whole of Antarctica!

Six Planets Now Aligned in the Dawn Sky
If you get up any morning for the next few weeks, you’ll be treated to the sight of all the planets except Saturn arrayed along the ecliptic, the path of the sun through the sky.
For the last two months, almost all the planets have been hiding behind the sun, but this week they all emerge and are arrayed in a grand line above the rising sun. Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter are visible, and you can add Uranus and Neptune to your count if you have binoculars or a small telescope.
This sky map of the six planets shows how they should appear at dawn to observers with clear weather and an unobstructed view.
Astrologers have always been fascinated by planetary alignments, and the doomsayers of 2012 have been prophesying a mystical alignment on Dec. 21, 2012.
The modern tools of astronomers, such as planetarium software, show otherwise: absolutely no alignment at any time in 2012. But they also reveal a beautiful alignment visible during the month of May this year.
Six planets at one time
While astrologers view planetary alignments as foretellers of disasters, modern amateur astronomers look forward to them as nothing more than grand photo ops.
If you go out any morning for the next four days, you’ll be treated to a view of the crescent moon and all but one of the naked eye planets.
Because the moon moves rapidly from one morning to the next, it will only be part of the lineup for the next four mornings, but the four naked-eye planets will be there for the next few weeks.
Venus is, as always, the brightest and most visible of the planets, and it can be your guide to spotting the others. About half way between Venus and the rising sun is Jupiter, the second brightest planet.
Mars will be a tiny speck just above Jupiter, and Mercury another tiny speck about half way between Jupiter and Venus. Uranus is slightly more than one binocular field above and to the right of Venus, and Neptune is much farther to the right, about 40 degrees away in Aquarius. The Moon will be just above Venus on Saturday morning, and just above Jupiter and Mars on Sunday morning.
How to photograph the planets
Capturing a photograph of this gathering of the planets couldn’t be easier.
Just about any camera will do, though a camera with a telephoto lens setting will be better. Let the camera’s exposure meter be your guide, though a slight underexposure will help bring out the colors of the dawn sky.
Try to place the silhouette of some foreground object to lend depth to the scene. The best pictures will be on the next few mornings, while the crescent moon is part of the grouping.

The planets are named for real beings, so that there is a literal interpretation necessary when it says the Sons of Elohim presented themselves before YHWH, but each have their influence in the planet bearing their own name.

Genesis tells us that the heavenly bodies are there to indicate the times we are in:

Then 'Elohiym said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the skies to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and seasons and for days and years

and let them be for lights in the expanse of the skies to give light on the earth," and it was so. - Genesis 1: 14, 15

1. The book of the courses of the luminaries of the heaven,

the relations of each, according to their classes,

their dominion and their seasons,

according to their names and places of origin,

and according to their months,

which Uriel, the holy angel, who was with me,

who is their guide, showed me;

and he showed me all their laws exactly as they are,

and how it is with regard to all the years of the world and unto eternity,

till the new creation is accomplished which dureth till eternity.

2. And this is the first law of the luminaries:

the luminary the Sun has its rising in the eastern portals of the heaven,

and its setting in the western portals of the heaven.

3. And I saw six portals in which the sun rises,

and six portals in which the sun sets

and the moon rises and sets in these portals,

and the leaders of the stars and those whom they lead:

six in the east and six in the west,

and all following each other in accurately corresponding order:

also many windows to the right and left of these portals.

Total lunar eclipse next week, not visible in US

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The year's first total eclipse of the moon will last an unusually long time, a rare celestial treat for a wide swath of the globe.

Except if you're in the United States and Canada. North America will be left out of Wednesday's lunar spectacle, which will be visible from start to finish from eastern Africa, central Asia, the Middle East and western Australia - weather permitting.

The period when Earth's shadow completely blocks the moon - known as totality - will last a whopping 1 hour and 40 minutes. The last time the moon was covered for this long was in July 2000, when it lasted 7 minutes longer than that.

The full moon normally glows from reflected sunlight. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon glides through the long shadow cast by the Earth and is blocked from the sunlight that illuminates it.

As the moon plunges deeper into the Earth's shadow, the disk will appear to gradually change color, turning from silver to orange or red. This is because some indirect sunlight still reaches the moon after passing through the Earth's atmosphere, which scatters blue light. Only red light strikes the moon, giving it an eerie crimson hue.

It's difficult to predict the exact shade the moon will take, which will depend on how much dust and clouds are in the atmosphere during the eclipse.

Since the moon will pass close to the center of the Earth's shadow, the total eclipse phase will be longer than usual, said NASA eclipse expert Fred Espenak at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.

The entire eclipse will last a little over 5 1/2 hours. Observers in Europe will miss the first part of the show because it will occur before the moon rises. Eastern Asia and eastern Australia won't catch the final stages, which will happen after the moon sets. Portions of South America will be able see the moon entirely shrouded.

Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to watch with the naked eye.

Keith Gleason, who runs the Sommers-Bausch Observatory in Boulder, Colo., is disappointed that he will not have a ringside seat to the upcoming eclipse. The last total lunar eclipse visible from the U.S. occurred on Dec. 21, 2010, which coincided with winter solstice and was widely observed. Some 1,400 people showed up for a viewing party at the observatory.

"We had an absolutely glorious time," he said.

The next total lunar eclipse will fall on Dec. 10 with best viewing from Asia and Australia. The moon will be completely blotted out for 51 minutes. Only parts of the U.S. including Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest will catch a glimpse.

The rest of the continental U.S. will have to wait until April 15, 2014 to witness a total lunar eclipse.

I have been looking at this place in Antarctica for a couple of weeks and now this vid is posted,

http://beforeitsnews.com/story/824/553/Nibiru_Shadows_Over_Antarcti...

for those of you who do not have vid capabilities:

The camera is of this station in Antarctica and  like many places it just photographs the scene in front of the camera every so often day and night.  For a while there is an "extra" moon crossing over in the sky behind it.  Then something strange happened. three men came out in suits another taller man without a suit stands with them and they all suddenly disappear.  There is something in the sky that is almost like a 2nd moon and also something much brighter.

You too can go to the site and see these photos for your self.

http://www.awi.de/NM_WebCam/

I am not sure I grasp your meaning.  The link to the pictures which are from an actual live vid feed are right there and accessible from the go.  No one doctored or created them.  And not everyone believes the lies , drinks the koolaide or thinks we are continuing life as we always have.  What is that verse?    That men will say things will continue as they always have and that there is no Messiah?  I know better, I think most here do also.  I pray you do/will know that as well.

Tristan, I cannot agree with everything the vid guy is saying, but as for what we are seeing, well.

I cannot say what is on that vid is te sign of the end of the age, but I have been looking for just such a sign for a while, why?

Mat 24

29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Mat 24:30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Num 24:17  I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

Mat 2:1  Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Mat 2:2  Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

I will I went again to see what was going on now and here is that bluish planet on the webcam

http://www.awi.de/NM_WebCam/livemovieT.html

I believe those verses you mentioned, Bets, are probably the events that result in a close encounter with "Nibiru" or whatever one wants to call it. I've seen what i've believed to look like a second sun rising before too.

@ Tristran - I think a lot of what is coming will happen in such a way that doesn't totally disrupt people's sense of normality, even if it should. Just like all these earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, storms and all this. They really should have people noticing stuff is happening, but people are far too asleep to get it. As long as the TV says it's all still fine, they believe it.

Isn't that the point, Tristan? The world cannot see its sin.  The world cannot see the beast system.  The world cannot see the end of the age coming at them at lightening speed.  But we who know Him and are led by Him see "the season" we are in.  While I respect your viewpoint, Tristan, my viewpoint is totally different.  In fact my viewpoint is different on things like a 7 yr. tribulation, the mark of the beast and so man things that "the church" has led us to believe.  I began questioning the "facts" given to us by our "church" leaders and in particular everything Hal Lindsey in taught, when I began to read the Word for myself, not through traditions of men.

I agree one of the events that will let the whole world know the end is near hasn't happened yet, that being the destruction of Damascus and Lebanon, but I think the adversary may have fed us lies to hide the end from "the church".   I have found so many "mistranslations" in the Word that cover up the things we discuss here from the church that a pattern of such is just fact for me, at least.

As Sinclair points out the world is asleep and dreaming, but praise Father, He has given His children eyes to see and ears to hear truth.

I think He uses the TV sometimes to teach me thing I need to know in order to see , too.  Like last year, I watched a show on Nova about what happens when planets collide.  Well, guess what happens, they don't actually collide, the gravitational forces of the masses instead create pressure on the surface of the planets Things get heated up,  crusts becomes unstable, the planets may change their orbit or their rotation, and in the end what actually will happen  is one of the objects will take a part of the other, which ever has the stronger gravitational force.  That means a very destructive time for us who remain on earth something that makes nuclear war seem tame.   What actually happens could be something like this:

Zec 14:7  But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Zec 14:8  And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
Zec 14:9  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Zec 14:10  All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
Zec 14:11  And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
Zec 14:12  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

John also describes this event:

Rev 16:20  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
Rev 16:21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

What Father has taught me is this: in the Word when I find a mistranslation it is important for me to look and find what it is the enemy is trying to hide from us?  And in life when the beast system covers up or mis-reports or begins calling names of those who do report things like conspiracy theorist or doom and gloomer , look deeper and see what they are trying to hide.

There was something on that vid.  Neither the news nor the goverments are reporting this.  I just wanted to share it with those who are looking and talking about just those things, like we do here.
