tanning is pretty useless i think.. what's its real purpose, you know? getting outdoors into the sunlight to absorb vitamin-D for a length of time which does not result in a burn is smart, serves a good purpose.. for extended exposure times, then appropriate dress helps a lot.
i used to landscape, and i would wear long sleeves and long pants to prevent over-exposure.. people could do that if they are properly hydrated and wear the correct material.. think about desert dwelling people.. they are not using sunblock, they're using appropriate dress..
the main thing is to just do the right thing for the right reason... Adam was created a farmer, and it's clear he was intended to be outdoors for the right reason.
i might of just been asking what others thought because i decied to tan for the sunlight and might just help me look more alive and might guess it does help on how you look alittle figure wise or something

I don't feel tanning as a whole is vanity. Its the feeling of wanting to look better that is vanity. I enjoy laying in the sun. Feeling the rays, listening to the birds, and losing my self in my thoughts. Who is to say that is looking better? I have a neice who is getting piercings and tatoos to "look better". Vanity is a mulitfaceted gemstone that has many angles.
you would be surprised what 20 minutes a day of sunlight can do.. you don't even have to 'tan' for it, you can just be out in it doing something. i'm naturally extra-white so tanning was something i could never really accomplish, even when i used to try it as a teenager :)
i think the best beauty advice for anyone is to be healthy and confident in who YHWH created you to be, so that inner beauty He gave us all can shine through..
i think it's safe to say that all in all, vanity is when we choose to do something because we believe that without it we are 'less (whatever)'.. less beautiful, less attractive, less acceptable.. when, in reality, at the end of the day, is 'how acceptable we physically looked' really the main thing we want others to remember about us?
you know what's really rare and attractive these days is intelligence lol.. but seriously, imagine yourself confident in who Yah made you, being your intelligent self He raised you to be, out there in the world being Real and doing the right thing.. i think that could be true beauty.
that's really nice bean thankyou ::final stages of healing from the burn on my back:: might think i won't necessarily try to tan but i just might try to go outside more for my eyes and overall health or i think it'll help and might have to go out there without a real reason if i do because i sort of don't go outside ever lol

reading outside can be fun.. 20 minutes goes by pretty quickly when you're reading..
i might take my laptop out and listen to music or talk or work on school stuff actuly but pages might be bright to look at in the sun to me
