Is alcohol a sin?

Others say alcohol removes stress,alcohol is a drink,once they are drunk they sleep well,its a stimulate .In other cases alcohol causes diseases like cirrhosis and the book of Isaiah 4;11 warns as about alcohol and it says alcohol for those who wake up earlier morning they have been cursed for taking these drink.In human health there body cells are very weak.

Judges 9:13 "And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?"

John 4:46 "So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine..."

'Wine' is mentioned 231times in the Bible.. it was given as a blessing to Israel, given as an offering to YHWH... and most often, it is spoken of well and good.. after all, Yahushua's first miracle was turning water into wine.. if wine, which is alcohol, were a sin, Yahushua would not have offered it.. the only prohibition on wine was for those inside the temple of YHWH (Leviticus 10:9), and those who had taken the Nazarite vow (Numbers 6:3).

On the other hand, 'Drunken' is mentioned 33 times in the Bible, and is most often spoken of in negative terms, often of the enemy being intoxicated by the blood of the saints, Yahushua's people.

Isaiah 5:11 appears to detail the latter situation...

Isaiah 5
1) "...My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:"
2) "And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof,
and planted it with the choicest vine,
and built a tower in the midst of it,
and also made a winepress therein:
and he looked that it should bring forth grapes,
and it brought forth wild grapes."

• YHWH perfectly prepared, protected and planned for his vineyard and looked to it for a good harvest..

• "wild grapes" is the Hebrew word "bĕ'ushiym" which means "stinking or worthless things; wild grapes; stinkberries" - not exactly "good fruit"..

• YHWH did everything to prepare, protect and plan for His people, His vineyard, and He looked for them to bring forth grapes - good fruit, if you will; but, instead, they brought forth wild grapes - bad fruit.

3) "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah,
judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
4) "What could have been done more to my vineyard,
that I have not done in it?
wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes,
brought it forth wild grapes?"

• YHWH asks, "What didn't I do to ensure you would produce good fruit?" and "Why did you then produce bad fruit instead?"

5) "...I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard:
I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up;
[and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:"
6) "And I will lay it waste:
it shall not be pruned, nor digged;
but there shall come up briers and thorns:
I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it."
7) "For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts [is] the house of Israel,
and the men of Judah his pleasant plant:
and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression;
for righteousness, but behold a cry."

• Because YHWH found the fruit of injustice and unrighteousness, He will remove His protection from them, that He will not tend to them, and that worse things, briers and thistles, will spring up... (reminiscent of the bramble king in Judges 9:14).

• He also says He will prevent the rain.. a contrast to Leviticus 26:4, Deuteronomy 11:14; 28:12; and particularly 1Kings 8:36, "Then hear Thou in Heaven, and forgive the sin of Thy servants, and of Thy people Israel, that Thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon Thy land, which Thou hast given to Thy people for an inheritance."

8) "Woe unto them that join house to house,
[that] lay field to field, till [there be] no place,
that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!"

• YHWH pronounces woe unto those who, hoping for protection, band together but in the end find themselves divided in hell..

9) "...Of a truth many houses shall be desolate,
great and fair, without inhabitant."

• He says the desolation will affect even the houses of power..

10) "Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath,
and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah."

• And shows the famine produced from the removal of His divine protection..

11) "Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning,
they may follow strong drink;
that continue until night, [till] wine inflame them!"

• YHWH then pronounces woe unto those who, from morning til night, pursue strong drink and are, by that wine, inflamed.. very similar to the picture in Revelation 17: 2,3,6...

"...Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication... And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus..."
