thanks for posting this, Kathy. this is one of the reasons i'm ex-catholic... because to stay catholic, one has to continually be rationalizing away the literal meaning (the most basic meaning) of scripture... the religion demands adherence to a lifelong state in which one is always having to convince oneself of a different meaning (and thus, a different reality) than what is true...

"And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and produce no fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus ... and His life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross."

"Pope Francis means that from a superficial, human point of view, Jesus' death might make it look like he was a failure, but from God's perspective, this was not so," writes Catholic Answers' Jimmy Akin.

George Orwell called it "double-speak"... it's the same pattern the serpent used when he beguiled Eve... he says she won't die... and she didn't outwardly die that instant did she... so it makes sense the serpent was right... but believers know he was wrong, and that it was her innocence which died in that instant.

principles the pope teaches are the same principles of all false religions and is the same principle of the false messiah's religion.. that Yahushua is not the Almighty... and just like in Eden the lie will not sound offensive, it'll sound exciting... and in the beginning seem reassuring.

supposedly, there are over 1.2 billion catholics worldwide... a little staggering.. and the false messiah's believers will number so many more than that...
