He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.

The whole book gives a picture to us as redeemed believers, that if we stay in His shadow, allow him to guide us, lead us, protect us, He will deliver us, answer us, bless us, separate us from the wicked

I have been back to this scripture over and over, and, as with all things in the word of God, my understanding of it grows each time. It is so applicable to us in the current world climate.

I would love to hear your own insights of the scripture to further enhance my own understanding of it.

If I answer, you might be getting more than you bargained for, haha.

But here it is: There are few "safe places" in my world, both out in the world we share and my own internal construct. It's a battlefield that should have claimed me as its casualty many times.

In the last days, there may come a time that most believers recognise that there are no more havens to which to run and hide from the enemy - except One. I'm already there, though. There are no safe places for me but One. They say that when you've got nothing left to rely on but your Creator, that's when you come to know that He's enough. Quite true. He's enough of a refuge in any storm, whether it rages in the atmosphere above our heads or the one within it.

Wow, Thanks so much for sharing.

It can seem I am a little secluded from all the turmoil in the world, tucked into my safe little city in rural Queensland, Australia, but I FEEL the disturbance within my spirit. I find it unsettling to say the least. Then I find that place, safe and at peace.

I'm as far from civilisation as I can get, which is fairly remote but I accept that I'll always be a target for trouble no matter where I am. If I did not have Him as shelter, that trouble would be a lot more than any natural solution I could come up with would help.
