Daniel - Abomination of Desolation, daily sacrifice and a covenant

What the bible actually says about the "abomination of desolation" and what most believers take for granted that it says due to popular teaching are two different things. Here is the actual content of Daniel on the matter.

Daniel 9:27 - And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

covenant - beriyth: covenant, alliance, treaty, pledge, agreement
sacrifice - zebach: sacrifice, passover, annual sacrifice
oblation - minchah: gift, tribute, offering
overspreading - kanaph: wing, extremity, edge, corner of garment
abominations - siqquwts: detestable thing, an idol
desolate - shamem - to be desolated, appalled, stunned, stupified

Daniel 11:31 - And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

sanctuary - miqdash: sanctuary, temple
stength -ma'owz: stronghold, fortress
daily - tamiyd: continually, perpetually
(sacrifice) - not there at all

Daniel 12:11 - And from the time [that] the daily [sacrifice] shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

daily - see above
sacrifice - not there at all
taken away - cuwr: turn aside, depart, be removed, put aside, come to an end

Peace treaty between antichrist and Israel, the established current nation state? Desecration of a third temple?  We might not want our expectations to cleave too hard to that theory.

not saying this is right.. just throwing it out here..

could the 'something that is continually happening' be strife?

the antonym of 'strife' is 'peace'.

    (Genesis 3:17-19)

In Eden, after the fall, Eve was cursed with sorrows and Adam was cursed with struggles... a burden both mental (sorrows) and physical (struggles) which all mankind has had to bear since leaving Eden, until the present day.

even humans in the highest echelons of the elite have suffered sorrows and struggles.. Messiah suffered sorrows and struggles while in the flesh here on Earth.. no one born of blood has escaped sorrow and struggle.. all humanity knows the strife of life.

is the Antichrist someone we perceive as offering the end of war, famine, disease.. someone we see as capable of bestowing 'peace and prosperity' upon mankind.. the one who brings 'the peace' we have been warned against?

    (Matthew 24:6; Mark 13:7)

Yahushua warned us to not be troubled by wars (current wars) and rumors of wars (prospects of future wars), because wars mean the end was not yet.. can we safely then say it is also a warning to be concerned by lack of wars (no current wars) and lack of rumors of wars (no prospect of future wars), because it would mean the end was at hand?

    (1Thessalonians 5:3)

"...when they shall say 'Peace and Safety', then sudden destruction..."

    (Revelation 12:9)

Would an Antichrist who brings 'world peace' be concerned about what happened in Eden?  i would say so.. Antichrist comes in the power of Satan.. Satan is the serpent who tempted mankind.. mankind fell, and was thence cursed with strife.. the very thing for which Antichrist will offer a solution of Peace.. The serpent was cursed first, then Eve, then Adam.

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out..."

    (Daniel 8:23-27)

Antichrist is the one we are warned brings 'Peace'.. is this 'Peace' the new thing to all mankind.. the new peace which removes the old, continual strife of mankind's life?

"And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify [himself] in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told [is] true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it [shall be] for many days.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick [certain] days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood [it]."

    Peace in Yahushua

"...I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it." (Daniel 8:27)

I think this would be a possible, applicable thing to be named "continual". Maybe what most would just call day to day life. The struggle of survival perhaps. The antichrist will destroy with peace and claim there is safety only for that false reality to be met with sudden destruction.
